Dr. Gordon Byrne grew up in Weston, CT where he played Lacrosse starting at an early age. He lettered 4 yrs and was team Captain for both Football and Lacrosse. After High School he walked on and played Div. I Lacrosse at VMI, earning a scholarship and lettered all 4 yrs, ending his career as a Team Tri-Captain before going overseas on a active duty Military tour in the Army. He spent 24 years in the Army retiring as a Major all along taking every opportunity to play Lacrosse.
He has played Men's club ball in Virginia and Georgia and is currently living in Girard with his wife Lia and two children Francesca and Dante. He has been coaching in Canfield for 3 years.
When he is not coaching Lacrosse, he coaches football and helps with conditioning and sideline medicine for Girard High School. He has been coaching football for the past 5 years ever since he returned from his year deployment to Iraq. Professionally, he runs Byrne Chiropractic in Warren Ohio.

MeLynda Guerrieri currently lives in Canfield, but spent her middle and high school years in Virginia. She played basketball and lettered 4 years.
MeLynda has been the Canfield girls lacrosse coach for the last 5 years, leading them to very successful seasons. Multiple students have continued their lacrosse career in college, some with scholarships!
She has been married to Michael Guerrieri for 23 year. They have 3 children; Noah who attends Bowling Green University, Gianna who attends Youngstown State University, and Mara who is a senior at Canfield and will play lacrosse at Seton Hill University next year.
She is a member of St Christine Parish and has taught multiple subjects at Canfield for 21 years. Currently she teaches 5th grade math.
Education: BS Geology with Minor in Civil Engineering Youngstown State University, BS Education YSU, Masters in Curriculum and Education from Ashland University.
